Who We Are & What We Do
Hello! I’m Andrew Doyle, the founder here at Supporting Shields, and I’m proud to hail from the heart of Central Kentucky. From a young age, I have deeply respected the sacrifices made by first responders as they put on their uniforms each day. In early 2023, with the support of a dedicated team, I established our nonprofit organization, which has quickly gained momentum. The community’s response has been truly inspiring, enabling us to assist 12 families with memorial bracelets, t-shirts, and financial aid to honor their loved ones in just one year.
After serving as a director in a previous organization, where we successfully hosted numerous events and fundraisers—including a memorable 5K run—I decided to embark on my own journey in the nonprofit sector. This led to the creation of what you know and love today, Supporting Shields LLC. Our mission is to provide compassionate financial assistance to first responder families facing the challenges of line-of-duty deaths, injuries, and suicides.
In their darkest moments, we aim to be a beacon of support, offering essential resources that help alleviate financial burdens and foster healing. We believe that every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in the lives of those who serve and protect our communities.
We are dedicated to honoring their sacrifices by donating 50% of our proceeds to families affected by loss, with the remaining 50% supporting our daily operating costs. As a small nonprofit run from my living room, I personally manage every aspect of our work. I appreciate your understanding that delays can occasionally occur. I take full responsibility for any issues and strive to resolve them diligently. Balancing this mission with a full-time job and family responsibilities may affect my response times, but please know that when you reach out—whether by phone, text, email, or message—you’re connecting directly with me.
Though I may be young, my passion for kindness, community, and action drives me forward. Despite the challenges I face, I remain committed to advocating for those who serve and protect our communities. Thank you for your support as we continue this vital mission to remember the fallen.
